to the festival of failure!
Besides being a School for Clowns, BONT’S is an international
breeding-ground for Clown-art, where people can meet each other,
attend classes and discover their own original Clown in an
atmosphere of great warmth and humanity.
Within the world of Clowns there are many different styles and
teachers, all representing a truth of their own. Participating
in Bont´s means sharing my truth about being a Clown. I want to
be a source of inspiration for dynamic people who are mad about
Clowns and are willing to work professionally. The courses
offered are open to people who are already working as Clowns, or
are willing to do so in the future, as well as to professional
actors and performers working in other styles and disciplines of
theatre.
A Clown is not just a role, a Clown......is! Discovering,
developing and shaping your own Clown is a great adventure, both
for the student and the teacher. Finding your Clown is usually
not easy, but it is an interesting and fascinating process.
Just remember, that the Clown is born out of the moment of the
utmost despair. The tragedy of the Clown, lies in the fact,
that he is successful where he doesn’t want to be successful,
namely in his failure. Although there are many |

people who disregard Clowns, and Clowns are not considered “art” in
many countries, never forget what Fellini once said: “Clowns are
the aristocrats among actors!”.
After nine years of working we can say that the combination of
Ibiza and the Clown School is a wonderful one. Apart from love,
family and work, dedicating time to the Clown in the atmosphere
of Ibiza and within a group of people from all over the world is
a special experience.
What you will find here is time to breathe, assimilate and to
explore your own Clown art. For a lot of students Ibiza-Clowns
is a really intense “Island Experience” and for many of them
afterwards it becomes a new start in life and in work.
I am looking forward to meeting you in Ibiza and to bring to you
situations of the utmost despair in a great party of Clowns.
